UNSW Career Ready Mentoring Program
The Career Ready Mentoring Program connects final year students at UNSW with alumni mentors who are established industry professionals. Successful students will be matched with mentors based on criteria such as area of study, industry experience and shared interests. This program can be delivered 100% online.
As mentors, alumni work closely with student mentees in five online or phone informal meetings over a period of 12 weeks to provide support during the students’ transition from study to work. This may include sharing their own journey, identifying work opportunities, providing insights, constructive feedback and suggestions to assist a mentee to construct a career road-map.
Career Ready Mentoring is a rewarding professional development opportunity that allows participating alumni to reflect on their own goals and practices, be exposed to fresh perspectives and approaches, and to establish new networks within the UNSW community.
Watch the 2019 mentees and mentors talk about their experiences in the Career Ready Mentoring Program.
The program will also appear on each successful student’s AHEGS statement.
