I’m based overseas, what benefits & services can I access?
We share details about the fantastic range of benefits and services available to our many alumni based overseas.
If you attended UNSW in Sydney or Canberra, and now live overseas, alumni benefits and services won’t be accessible to you, right? Wrong!
As Australia’s global university, UNSW is proud to support it’s increasingly international alumni network, now spanning 137 countries around the world. Whether engaging with UNSW in person or via digital platforms, we offer a wealth of different benefits and services to suit your needs.
Attend international events
Each year, UNSW hosts a variety of events for alumni to share key updates about our University, as well as provide opportunities for networking, thought leadership, reconnecting with peers, and lifelong learning.
From summits and to cocktail parties, formal dinners and casual activities, we host a variety of events for our global alumni around Europe, Asia and the US. Get in touch with your local alumni committee to receive regular updates, or access ongoing learning wherever you are by tuning in to our many event podcasts.
Access global mentoring opportunities
Our international mentoring platform allows graduates to tap into our global 320,000+ strong alumni community to access a vast network of knowledge or share their own advice and experiences.
UNSW Alumni Connect is a global peer-to-peer mentoring platform that supports a highly flexible mentoring arrangement. Whether you want to be a mentor, a mentee, or both, with Alumni Connect you are free to share knowledge, build networks and enhance professional development in a format and timeframe that is most convenient to you.
Develop your startup with UNSW Founders
UNSW Founders Program is Australia’s most comprehensive university entrepreneurship program. Whether you're completely new to entrepreneurship, or you're an experienced founder, our globally accessible initiatives can help you on your way, such as Coach&Connect which links people who have an innovative idea, or an existing business, with an experienced startup coach to accelerate and amplify success. Attend a UNSW Founders Info Session to get an overview of our offering, connect with startup coaches, fellow entrepreneurs and kick off their journey with UNSW Founders. Held weekly, Wednesday 12-1pm (AEST).
All international alumni participating in any UNSW Founders program will receive additional support from the Global Founders Program to ensure their experience is seamless and enjoyable. If you have any questions about your eligibility in any of the above programs, please email our Global Founders Program Manager.
*Participants of Founders 10x and Founders Health 10x will need to have an Australian registered company and be able to participate during standard AEST work hours.
