Learn to Lead with UNSW attracts over 4,200 alumni eager to develop their leadership skills

The much anticipated Learn to Lead short course has launched attracting UNSW alumni from across the world.  “Excited to be back at UNSW!” says alumnus, Miki.

The positive feedback has been overwhelming, with participants stating, “there could not have been a better time for this opportunity to arise” and “I’m looking forward to some respite from COVID-19 surrounds and enhancing my leadership skill.”

Learn to Lead is presented by UNSW Alumni & Engagement in collaboration with AGSM @ UNSW Business School. It was designed exclusively for our global alumni community as an opportunity to expand their leadership knowledge and skills from anywhere in the world.

Delivered over two weeks, Learn to Lead is facilitated by a mix of renowned leadership experts including UNSW academics and alumni. The course focuses on four key areas: leadership and performance, decision making, design thinking, and adaptive leadership.

With participants spanning 78 countries, UNSW Alumni & Engagement turned to OpenLearning founders, Adam Brimo (BE/BA `11) and David Collien (BSc `11) to host the online course. OpenLearning is one of the world's largest online education platforms that enabled the delivery of Learn to Lead on a mass scale.

Adam Brimo, CEO of OpenLearning, is one of our esteemed alumni and is, himself, currently completing the course. “We started OpenLearning with the aim of increasing access to quality education,” says Adam. “Drawing upon decades of research and our very own experiences at UNSW we developed a platform designed for socially constructive learning experiences.”

“We're really excited that UNSW's new online course, Learn to Lead, is delivered through OpenLearning for alumni around the world. The interaction and engagement amongst the thousands of alumni in the course is amazing and will surely strengthen their relationship with UNSW."

We look forward to hearing how our registered alumni move forward using their newly acquired skillset. Stay connected with us on social to be the first to hear about more opportunities available to enhance your professional skills.
