Enabling lifesaving, rapid response research

Enabling lifesaving, rapid response research

We know that COVID-19 will transform society. UNSW researchers can determine the scope of this transformation, and create solutions that save lives and ensure we recover.

Through this initiative, we'll provide discrete funding for pioneering research in 12 areas, from medical solutions to boost the immunity of vulnerable populations to initiatives that will build community resilience and recovery.

UNSW has considerable research capabilities spanning many intersecting areas, including law, social wellbeing, health systems, mental health, and beyond. We’ll harness this expertise to understand the widespread effects of COVID-19.

We've established the Rapid Response Research Fund to support critical research relating to COVID-19 – innovative research that will help policy-makers and other key decision-makers understand the full impacts of the pandemic and implement viable solutions.

Your support for innovative, priority research will speed lifesaving solutions and recovery across all areas of our lives.

The grants awarded to researchers are competitive, prioritising projects based on their capacity to deliver meaningful insights and solutions that will materially contribute to better outcomes for society.
